Rowan's Law
Rowan’s Law.
Rowan Stringer was just 17 when she died, on Mother’s Day, after suffering what proved to be a fatal concussion during a high school rugby game in Ottawa. It was her second concussion within a week. No one would send their child to the hockey rink without a helmet and a concussion protocol - or a detailed plan outlining the steps to safely return to school or sport is every bit as essential.

Rowan’s Law is a youths Bill that has been passed that states “A sport organization must not register an individual who is under the prescribed age in a sports activity unless the individual confirms that they have reviewed the concussion awareness resources approved by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

There will be consent forms available for signature before your child can go on the ice. Under Registration please see "Rowan's Law". Disclosure form found there.

This year and every year hereinafter found at www.Rowan’s Law Concussion Safety, 2018.com "- and click on the link provided from Ontario. Concussions
