Parks and Rec Survey
Please read!
Dear KMHA Members,
We hope this message finds you well.
As you may be aware, our community is facing a critical need for improved hockey facilities, and we are reaching out to ask for your support.
Since the closure of Ops Arena, our organization has seen a significant increase in registration, nearly doubling in size. Currently, to accommodate the ice time required for all age groups, we are utilizing several different arenas across the region. This situation is not sustainable and is causing logistical challenges for our players, families, and volunteers.
Moreover, the current arena in Omemee, which we rely on heavily, is in need of upgrades. Without these improvements, we risk further limiting our ability to provide quality ice time and development opportunities for our players.
The City of Kawartha Lakes is currently seeking public input for their Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan. This is a crucial opportunity for us to advocate for the construction of a new hockey arena and the necessary upgrades to existing facilities.
We kindly ask you to take a few moments to fill out the survey and voice your support for these much-needed improvements. Please share your thoughts and experiences by completing the survey at the following link: City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan - Public Online Survey.
Your input is vital in helping us secure the facilities we need to support our growing hockey community. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our players have access to the resources they need to thrive.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
Board of Directors
Kawartha Minor Hockey Association
