"A" Champs
The Kawartha Coyotes Peewee Reps win the "A" division at the Norwood peewee tournament for the second year in row.

On Saturday Oct 26th the Coyotes participated in the Norwood District Minor Hockey Tournament. Game 1 the boy's matched up against the Tweed Hawks. The Coyotes came out fired up and Riece Nicholson put the coyotes ahead less than 10 seconds into the game. The boy's would go on and win this one 8-1. Scoring for the Coyotes, Nicholson 2, Macdonald 2, fanning, J.Downey, Roche, Lake. Assist - Macdonald 3, Roche 2, Pauze 2, Lake, G.Downey, Carroll.

Game 2 Kawartha would face off against the Frontenac Flyers. A win in this game would put the Coyotes in the "A" final, and the boy's did not disappoint. Kawartha would open the scoring early again when Aiden Collins made an end to end rush finishing with a great shot on net, Tyler Roche would put the rebound past the Flyers goalie and Kawartha was up less than a minute into the game. With the Coyotes controlling most of the play and holding a 3-0 lead, the Flyers found a way to get a couple of breakaways. Jacob Curtin would come up huge in goal for the Coyotes and keep the score 3-0 going into the third period. When the final buzzard sounded the Coyotes came away with a 5-1 win, out shooting the Flyers 34-8. Scoring for the Coyotes, Roche 2, G.Downey, Lake and Nicholson. Assists going to Beniot 2, Macdonald 2, Pauze, J.Downey, Fanning, Lake and Bailey.

Game 3 would be the "A" final and the Coyotes would face off against the Millbrook Stars. Dawson Pauze would put the Coyotes up early in the first period. The score would remain 1-0 until late in the second period when Millbrook would tie it up. Even with the Coyotes out shooting Millbrook by a margin of 25-9 the score remained tied after 2 periods. Carder Lake would solve the excellent goaltending of Millbrook mid way through the 3rd and give Kawartha a 2-1 lead. Brad "Boomer" Fanning would add an insurance goal with 2 minutes left to play, and Chad Macdonald sealed the game with an empty net goal. Coyotes win 4-1

Way to go boy's. Peewee Coyotes are are now back to back Norwood Tournament Champs !!!
